Port Haverigg holiday village and the sister site,Butterflowers (camping, caravans etc),is the main holiday site in the area.Holiday cottages are available to rent, also static caravans.Port Haverigg Holiday Village hosts the only Cumbrian freshwater  lake now available for waterskiing, and the watersports centre offers lessons in skiing, wakeboarding and wake skating. There is also a slalom course and visitors can launch their own boats, dinghies, and windsurfers. The Port Haverigg village is situated on the RSPB nature reserve, ideal for watching the breeding Terns carrying fresh sea eels to their chicks on the reserve,Eiders and Grt Crested Grebes, can be seen at very close range.
