Linnet-smaller than the House Sparrow,one of the finch species small and slim.Breeds in colonies,a very nervous species,difficult to approach.
Male Linnet.This shot was taken on the 14th March '08.A young Male,just starting to show his full Spring plumage,only 2 specks of red on the top of his head,in a few weeks he will have a glorious red top knot!!!
