 Black-Headed Gull  in winter plumage.nb,no black cap,but a tiny dark patch behind his eye.In the Spring he wll regain his head plumage of very dark chocolate coloured plumage.

Mediterranean Gulls.This shot was not taken in Haverigg,it was taken at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve.But I am including it on this site as these birds have been seen here on our reserve,which they use as a stop over en route to their wintering sites,eg Leighton Moss in Lancs.
 
 
Black Headed Gull -His plumage is just changing from Winter to full breeding,ie he is developing his full black head plumage.
