A-Z of Bird Species A-H
Kestrel-Several of these birds to be seen in and around the reserve, and just across the rd on our local cricket pitch.Haverigg is surrounded by farms,so lots of prey of small mammals for this species.Often spotted hovering high in the sky ,a keen eye observing their catch, then a sudden nose dive to the ground ,followed by a swift exit into nearby cover to partake of their meal.
